Re-Use

Alsace | FR

850 m²

2026

The project is based on the careful dismantling, relocation, and reassembly of an existing half-timbered house. Its material memory is preserved, while its context and use are transformed. The timber structure is reintroduced within a new architectural logic and rests on a mineral base incorporating pink sandstone aggregate, establishing a clear contrast between permanence and reversibility.

The lower level accommodates the wine cellar, a cool and introverted space where wine matures in direct contact with the earth. Above, the reassembled timber frame becomes a more open and luminous space dedicated to events and tasting, where the structural rhythm of the wood shapes and stages the experience.
