Rheintal is an architecture studio founded in 2025 in the Rhine Valley, a territory of convergence for cultures and building practices.
Rheintal [proper noun] — a word of Germanic origin, composed of Rhein (“Rhine”) and Tal (“valley”). It literally refers to the Rhine Valley, a major historical and geographical axis in Europe. The term evokes a space of continuity, transformation, and interaction between humans and their environment.
Graduated from the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Clermont-Ferrand and later at Versailles, and enriched by international experience, notably at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, the studio has developed a rigorous and complementary architectural culture. Each project is carried out with method and clarity, from the first sketch to completion, seeking a coherent relationship between idea, function, and construction.
More than four years spent in the Vorarlberg region of Austria, a reference for sustainable timber construction and artisanal excellence, have forged an expertise in materials and their implementation. Direct contact with craftsmen and companies has nurtured a committed approach, attentive to material, its constraints, and its inherent intelligence.
Based in Alsace (France) and Vorarlberg (Austria), the studio practices architecture attentive to geography, uses, and building cultures.
Rheintal Atelier designs bespoke projects, both new constructions and renovations, adapted to each client, function, and site, supporting clients with precision and coherence. The studio addresses those seeking architecture that is singular, thoughtful, and true to their identity.
