BEE CENTER

The bee centre is anchored in the existing topography, with the retaining wall forming the cornerstone of the architecture. This wall structures the building by linking two complementary levels: a technical and logistical base connected to the campus, and an upper floor dedicated to bee research, opening directly onto the meadow. At the heart of the facility, a team room connects the various activities and encourages interaction between observation, production and research.

The project extends the landscape by creating an inhabited bee meadow, designed for bees, researchers, and visitors alike. The architecture combines a mineral base made of recycled concrete with a lightweight wooden structure, favoring local materials and frugal construction.

Flexible and scalable, the building is designed to accommodate future changes in research while preserving the ecological continuity of the site.
