The sawmill forms the productive infrastructure of the project. Situated on the remnants of a vanished forestry economy, it reactivates a place for wood processing at the village scale.
The building is designed as a rational and adaptable structure, entirely dictated by the flow of materials, the dimensions of the logs, and the stages of transformation. The timber construction reveals its own process: sawing, storage, drying, and assembly are made legible within the architecture itself.
More than a simple industrial tool, the sawmill is conceived as a shared space, capable of hosting production, experimentation, and the transmission of know-how, embedding the act of building within a territorial and temporal continuity.
